Week 1 College Football Locks
Week 1, not a lot of thin spreads. But there will be upsets a plenty and we’ve got the inside path
Nevada +38.5 vs USC
USC proved to us last week that even tho they have “added” to last years lackluster defense, they still have a long way to go and Defensive Coordinator, Alex Grinch, will find a permanent spot on the hot seat this season. USC will jump out to an early big lead, but hold on tight as the turbo jets cool off and Nevada does just enough to stay in.
Old Dominion +16 vs Virginia Tech
Unfortunately Virginia Tech is projected to be at the bottom of the ACC this year and they face a feisty Old Dominion team that is anxious to prove that last years impressive debut was no fluke. There’s week 1 upsets that break a team early every year, and the grim reaper is looking close to Blacksburg.
South Carolina +2.5 vs North Carolina
A duel of two of the most touted quarterbacks in the country. Spencer Rattler finally got his moxy back at the end of last year and became the classic South Carolina pompous show off we expected him to be. North Carolina is out their top WR and head coach Mack Brown is too focused on taking down the NCAA than he is coaching. The Beamer bus is here and the Gamecocks are starting off the season right where they left off.
